"Wait for Eternity..."
**********************

In the stillness of a midautumn day, I wait, calmly and serenely, for my lover to arrive. He said to me, "Wait for me under this willow tree, I will return to you in a little while." I sigh, and close my eyes. The tears flowing gently down my glistening cheeks. A gentle breeze tosses my long silky auburn hair around in ethreal delight, as a tear is falling, falling, falling to the ground. All is silent. A single cloud blocks the sunshine from warming my face.
Raindrops begin falling, slowly, softly, as quiet as an infant in sweet slumber, then the cloud dissapears, gone in an instant, like a dream, my lover still absent. Sunset approaches quickly, nighttime falls upon me. I wait. I hope. But I know he is not coming. My love should surely have remembered me, but alas, he has forgotten. So I stand up, and walk away from the ancient willow tree, it's moonlit silluouette mocks me siltently. I wipe another tear from the corner of my eys, and turn to glance behind, but walk away.
I will return another day, and I will find him under the willow tree to greet me with a passionate kiss, if not today, there's hope of another day...
